Dior Homme S/S08

After the presentation last fall, I had reservations about Kris Van Assche's first Dior collection. It just seemed like a bunch of giant pants and white shirts. Then the collection showed up on eluxury. I want it all, but I would settle for the bomber jacket and the trench.

Mmm. I wasn't so sure about the fall collection either. Does this mean we have many good things to look forward to, come September?

Burberry Prorsum F/W08

While I was not too impressed with the Prorsum collection shown for S/S08, Bailey shows his strength lies in making clothes for cooler weather. I loved the F/W07 collection, and he managed to do it again for next fall. As always, the outerwear was impressive. In particular, I love the first look's topcoat. Lots of deep burgundies and navies are featured throughout, which I much prefer over the neutrals that tend to appear in fall collections. The kind of bell-bottom-ish pants seen here keep the skinny leg that we've come to see, well, everywhere, but have given it a spin by flaring the leg. Christopher Bailey's pant brings a much needed change to the skin-tight silhouette. If Prada's turbans were a must-have for the ladies this past spring, and if Bailey has his way next fall, all men will be wearing a skull-cap. And although this is rarely said in a mens show, the bags were incredible. Burberry have stepped up their accessory game for the ladies, and it's beginning to spread into its mens collection.

For some reason, men.style.com are only featuring 14 of the 42 total looks. Check here for a video of the entire show.
